Advanced Dental Technology Rocky River
Enhancing the Patient Experience with Innovative Technology
Dentistry has been around for centuries, continually evolving to incorporate new materials, techniques, and technologies. What was once popular and effective is now being replaced by innovations that are faster, pain-free, and more precise. At Rocky River Dental, we do our best to stay ahead of the curve by incorporating updated devices and equipment to enhance a patient’s experience. Check out which technologies we use in-house and let us know if you would like to learn more.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
Three-dimensional technology is no longer a dream but instead a reality thanks to our CT/Cone Beam Scanner. With a 360-degree rotating arm that snaps hundreds of pictures in seconds, our dentists can analyze a 3D model of your head, neck, and face, complete with an enhanced visual of the various bones, blood vessels, and nerve pathways that exist. This level of high-resolution imaging is essential for planning the placement of dental implants, performing root canals and molar endodontics, and more.
Digital Impressions
Using the Dexis wireless scanner and PrimeScan digital impression system, we can capture a more accurate model of your smile. Instead of biting down on cold dental putty that is often messy and problematic for those with a sensitive gag reflex, this handheld device can quickly scan your teeth, gums, and bite to create a 3D model that you and your dentist can see on a chairside monitor. The image is then used to produce a custom restoration that fits comfortably, looks natural, and works like normal.
Soft Tissue Laser
Our Zolar soft tissue laser is designed to create a more comfortable experience for patients when treating the gums and other soft tissues inside the mouth. As a portable device that is powerful and reliable, it can address infections within the gums and remove excess tissue around teeth, all while reducing bleeding at the site and minimizing swelling and post-procedural recovery. With our Zolar laser, your health tissues will remain untouched while harmful bacteria and infections are eliminated.
